Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse is one of my most eagerly anticipated games of the year, even as someone who is notably not a Castlevania fan. It’s really just the prospect of playing a new 2D Metroidvania game made by Evil Empire and Motion Twin, two studios that made Dead Cells, which does happen to be one of my all-time favorite roguelites.
Konami has just dropped a new trailer for Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse, showing off more gameplay, but really the highlight is the English voice cast. You can check out the trailer for yourself down below:
Here’s the full English voice cast for Belmont’s Curse:
- Abby Trott as Rose Belmont
- JB Blanc as Trevor Belmont
- Alejandra Reynoso as Sypha Belnades
- Graham McTavish as Dracula
- Ray Chase as The Fallen
- Erica Lindbeck as Joan of Arc
- Melique Berger as Medusa
- Liam O’Brien as Isaac
- Dawn M. Bennett as Carmilla
- Aaron LaPlante as Death
Plenty of big names here, including Ray Chase, who voiced Noctis in Final Fantasy XV. The big reveals are Graham McTavish, who reprises his role as Dracula, and Liam O’Brien, who reprises his role as Isaac. O’Brien, in particular, is a very prolific voice actor who’s been in a whole bunch of things including Final Fantasy XIII, Fallout 4, and more.
Belmont’s Curse won’t be a 2D roguelite game like Dead Cells, but it is a 2D Metroidvania exploration game with plenty of exciting weapons to play around with. The game takes place two decades after the events of Castlevania III, and players take control of Rose Belmont, Trevor’s daughter, who roams the streets of Paris and Dracula’s Castle slaying monsters.
Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse is set to be released on Oct. 15 for PC and consoles.
