It’s November, the month of Grand Theft Auto VI, and the marketing just keeps ramping up. With just a few short weeks to release, Rockstar has dropped a few more details about the game’s technical information, including when you can start pre-loading it and how much space you’ll need on your PS5. If you don’t have an external hard drive, get ready to free up tons of space for it.
Alright, so Grand Theft Auto VI will be available for pre-load on Tuesday, November 10, at midnight local time. The game also weighs in at 212GB, so you’ll likely have to delete a few things to make some space. Considering that GTA VI‘s map is going to be much larger than GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2, and the fact that it’s also supposed to be way denser than those games, this isn’t surprising at all. Still, this might be my wakeup call to finally get an external hard drive for the PS5. Whenever the PS6 does eventually drop, I’d also hope that it comes with a lot more storage space. These game sizes are getting ridiculous.
Oh, and if you’re getting the physical version of the game which comes with a download code inside the box, apparently those should be available on Nov. 12, a full week before launch.
In addition to all that, Rockstar also announced that they’d be releasing an official Grand Theft Auto VI cover art poster and a map of Leonida to the official website. These can be printed out for free. A physical double-sided version of the poster and map will also be made available for purchase on the Rockstar Store for $0.99, or as a free gift with any purchase.
Grand Theft Auto VI is set to be released for PS5 on Nov. 19.
