Vince Gilligan’s Sci-Fi Series Pluribus Will Premiere in November

Shortly after Better Call Saul‘s six season run ended, creator Vince Gilligan that he would be working on a new project with actress Rhea Seehorn, who played Kim Wexler. Very little has been revealed about the project since then, save for a few details. It’d be a sci-fi show! It’d be on Apple TV+! It had a cool working title called Wycaro 339. Today, we’ve finally learned that the show will be titled Pluribus.

You can check out the teaser trailer down below:

The trailer honestly doesn’t really give anything away at all. In fact, having a three-day countdown for a 30-second teaser that doesn’t even feature Seehorn at all or provide any details about the setup is a little brutal. Still, it’s got my attention and I’ll be tuning in this November.

The teaser trailer simply features a woman licking a doughnut and putting it back into a box filled with doughnuts. On a sticky note pasted on the table, there’s a message that says “Help yourself” with a smiley face next to it. After that, the screen cuts to black and we get the release date: November 7.

Prior to the teaser reveal, we also got a look at a poster featuring a petri dish with a smiley face on it. The tagline read, “Happiness is contagious”. Based on these details and the fact that it’s a sci-fi show, we can probably make a few educated guesses. Perhaps Pluribus is a show about people consuming drugs or medication to help them feel happy all the time? Maybe those drugs are numbing all their other emotions and turning them into creepy robots? Maybe feeling anything other than happiness is illegal in this world? Did I just describe the premise of We Happy Few? I think I did.

Anyway, this is all speculation for now, though I’m sure we’ll get more details as we inch closer to the show’s premiere.

Pluribus will be available for streaming on Apple TV+ on Nov. 7.
