This Pokopia Mobile Companion App Is a Lifesaver

Guys, Pokemon Pokopia is overwhelming. I mean, I know I said it was just simply whelming yesterday, but in terms of the sheer amount of content that the game throws at you, it can be seriously overwhelming. Not only are there a ton of Pokemon to find, there are also so many habitats to build, and an impossible number of things to craft.

Which is where this mobile companion app from developer HugoDuarte comes in. Going by u/hiugo on Reddit, this developer has been working on a companion app called Pokopedia since before the game even came out. At the time of writing, the app features a very comprehensive suite of information for Pokopia‘s Pokedex and habitats, and the crafting section is currently getting filled out.

Duarte goes on to state that he’ll be working on other sections like cooking next, and also plans on adding features like dark mode and multi-language support. These will come after the core sections of the app are done, though.

Still, as it is now, Pokopedia is shaping up to be an incredible app for me. Not only does it sport a clean and easy-to-use UI, it’s also nice to just have all the important information available at my fingertips. If you’re planning on checking out the app, I recommend going through the entire Pokedex first to tick off all the Pokemon you’ve befriended in Pokopia, then look through the habitat list to see which ones you’re missing and decide on which Pokemon you want to look for next.

I’m also a fan of how the app immediately lists the abilities of each Pokemon. I definitely spent way too much time trying to determine which of my discovered Pokemon had the Crush ability for Smeargle, and it’s nice to be able to just look it up here.

Pokopedia is available on Android and iOS, though it’s worth noting that there are some updates that have yet to be pushed to the iOS version, such as images for the habitat section.

Pokopia is now available on Switch 2.
