The Pluribus Teasers Continue But We Actually Get to See Rhea Seehorn This Time

We’re less than two months away from the premiere date of Pluribus, and still Apple TV+ and Vince Gilligan refuse to grace us with a proper, full-length trailer to give us some idea of what the show’s about. What do we get instead? Another cryptic 30-second teaser video. I’ll take it!

Apple TV+ has dropped yet another short teaser for Pluribus, which you can check out for yourself down below:

Okay so let’s recap. The first teaser showed a woman licking doughnuts. The second teaser showed Rhea Seehorn’s character, Carol, walking towards a ringing phone and picking it up, though we didn’t even get to see her face. This is the third teaser, which shows Carol in full view, dressed in a white shirt stained in blood. What’s so deeply unsettling about this teaser, though, is that she’s doing this seemingly in public and in broad daylight, looking rather dazed and somewhat distressed. The teaser ends with the same phone number that we saw in the second one, which you can call if you’re in the US and get automated voice messages saying “thank you”.

In this teaser, the captions simply read: “We’ll put things right. Sorry about the blood.” Alright enough already with the teasing! I’m already going to watch your show on day one so what’s the harm in putting out an actual trailer, hmm?

If, like me, you’ve been eagerly consuming every tiny morsel of information about Pluribus, then you probably already know all this and I have nothing new to tell you. If not, well, Pluribus is a new sci-fi TV show from Vince Gilligan, the creator of Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. We know that Apple ordered up two seasons of the show straight from the jump, and that in this world, “happiness is contagious”. My working theory is that some sort of pandemic or virus outbreak has infected society with a happy virus, causing people to feel happy all the time while also losing touch with their own humanity. Could be way off-course, but that’s all I’ve got.

Pluribus will be available for streaming on Apple TV+ on Nov. 7.
