Meet the English Voice Cast of Danganronpa 2×2

Danganronpa 2×2 has got to be one of the most bizarre game titles ever, even by Spike Chunsoft standards. Slated for a 2026 release, this is a re-release of Dangaronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, which took place on the mysterious Jabberwock Island. This is no mere re-release though; 2×2 also comes with an entirely new story scenario within the context of the game, and as a Danganronpa sicko, that means I’m going to have to play this game.

While there’s no set release date just yet, Spike Chunsoft has just unveiled the English voice cast for Danganronpa 2×2, which you can check out below:

  • Monokuma – Brian Beacock
  • Monomi – Rebecca Forstadt
  • Hajime Hinata – Johnny Yong Bosch
  • Nagito Komaeda – Bryce Papenbrook
  • Gundham Tanaka – Chris Tergliafera
  • Kazuichi Soda – Kyle Hebert
  • Byakuya Togami – Jason Wishnov
  • Teruteru Hanamura – Todd Haberkorn
  • Nekomaru Nidai – Patrick Seitz
  • Fuyuhiko Kuzuryu – Derek Stephen Prince
  • Akane Owari – Wendee Lee
  • Chiaki Nanami – Christine Marie Cabanos
  • Sonia Nevermind – Natalie Hoover
  • Hiyoko Saionji – Kira Buckland
  • Mahiru Koizumi – Carrie Keranen
  • Mikan Tsumiki – Stephanie Sheh
  • Ibuki Mioda – Julie Ann Taylor
  • Peko Pekoyama – Janice Kawaye

As far as I can tell, the English voice cast from the original game has remained intact. Spike Chunsoft was also careful not to reveal any surprise characters or new names we might encounter in the new 2×2 scenario.

Danganronpa 2×2 serves as a direct follow-up to Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc, where a group of students enrolled in Hope’s Academy suddenly find themselves caught up in a terrifying death game masterminded by Monokuma. The second game takes place on the tropical paradise of Jabberwock Island, but the students themselves are still forced to take part in a death game while looking for a way out.

Series creator Kazutaka Kodaka will be supervising the project, though it seems he won’t be directly involved, which is unsurprising considering he’s left Spike Chunsoft to form Tookyo Games with Zero Escape creator Kotaro Uchikoshi. The pair went on to make The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy.

Danganronpa 2×2 is set to be released for PC and consoles in 2026.
