Gen V Season 2 Trailer Shows the Return of Starlight & Noir

Having just completed my first-time binge of Gen V, this trailer really couldn’t have come at a better time. Gen V Season 2 will be dropping on Prime Video in September, and you can check out the new footage for yourself down below.

Picking up directly after the ending of Season 1, where Marie, Jordan, Andre, and Emma were captured and framed for the massacre at Godolkin University, it looks like Vought has successfully regained control over the campus and have brought Sam and Cate over to their side with the help of Homelander. Though I seriously doubt Sam and Cate would want to stick with Vought long-term and are probably just playing along at Homelander’s recommendation and helping him establish supe dominance.

Either way, it doesn’t look like it’ll take long for Marie and gang to break out. The trailer shows off Starlight rescuing Marie from what I assume to be a bunch of Vought lackeys, and telling her to go back to school to help uncover and stop yet another Vought/God U conspiracy unfolding on campus. Presumably, Gen V Season 2 takes place after The Boys Season 4 and will lead into Season 5, which serves as the conclusion of the whole story, so the stakes are a lot higher here. At the end of The Boys Season 4, we saw Starlight forced to leave Hughie behind when they were ambushed by Vought, and it looks like she may enlist the help of the Godolkin students to help fight back against Vought in the final season.

We also catch a glimpse of Noir, along with a bunch of new characters, including the new dean who will take over God U now that Indira Shetty is out of the picture.

Gen V Season 2 will be available for streaming on Sept. 17 exclusively on Prime Video.
