Emberville, an ARPG Inspired By Diablo & Stardew Valley, Enters Early Access This Year

An ARPG with Diablo-like combat mechanics and progression and an explorable town inspired by Stardew Valley? Yeah, say no more. Sign me up. 10/10. No notes. Give me this thing now. Emberville, a new ARPG developed by Cygnus Cross, will be entering Early Access this summer, and the team has dropped a reveal trailer for the game.

You can check out the trailer for yourself down below:

Emberville features real-time action combat with weapon-bound combos and class-related skills. According to the press release, the player character can inherit skills from one class, allowing them to create their own ideal combat class. On the other side of things, Emberville also boasts a full creative area where you’re tasked with rebuilding the spooky town of Emberville. You’ll be rebuilding the town with various structures and buildings, while also learning more about the town’s history and its denizens.

To top it all off, the game will also have voice acting. The full voice cast has yet to be revealed, but Doug Cockle (The Witcher) and Alex Jordan (The Alters, Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty) have been confirmed to be in the game.

Per the press release, here are some features you can expect from Emberville:

Exclusive Features:

  • Unique Multi-layered Combat Mechanics: In addition to the traditional two-button combat system, Emberville features a weapon-bound combo system and class-related combat skills.
  • Dynamic UI: A User Interface mechanic that changes the HUD in accordance with the player’s needs, making it easier to deal with multiple features without preventing the player from having its own decisions or managing their inventory.
  • Inherited Skills: Combat skills that are inherited from one leveled-up class to another, allowing the player customize the active combat class.

Key Features:

  • Fast-paced Combat Mechanics: The combat is fast-paced and action-oriented, with a big variety of weapons, skills, and abilities.
  • Multifaceted Game Progression: Progression is multifaceted, with players leveling up weapon and armor categories to unlock new classes, leveling up and learning crafting and gathering skills, rescuing NPCs to enhance and rebuild Emberville, and exploring the world to uncover hidden treasures and secrets.
  • Farming, Gathering, and Crafting: Emberville features farming, gathering, and crafting skills that can be used to grow crops, gather plants, wood, and minerals, and craft items, which can be improved by leveling up, learning skills, blueprints, and recipes.
  • Creative Area: Customizable creative player area, with houses, buildings, and objects that can be custom-placed and be used to improve skills, craft items and as a chill spot.
  • Procedural Generation: The world of Emberville can be explored through a giant procedurally generated world that contains procedurally generated levels with a great variety of events, biomes, enemies, treasures, and so on.

Emberville will be coming to Steam Early Access in Summer 2026.
