The Pitt Season 2 Will Premiere in January 2026

The Pitt is one of the most critically acclaimed breakout TV shows of 2025. Warner Bros and Max have already greenlit it for a second season, and here’s the good news: it’ll be out in early 2026.

As per the WB Discovery press release, The Pitt Season 2 is set to air in January 26. Just like the first season, it’ll take place over the course of a 12-hour shift in the Emergency Room, but with space for overtime of course. The season will run for 15 episodes, and it’s set to take place during the Fourth of July weekend. Just that time period alone is enough to spark the brain juices for all sorts of crazy injuries we’re gonna see in the ER. Personally, I’m expecting no less than 10 firework-related injuries.

The Pitt is an ER-focused drama series that centers around a group of doctors working in the ER over the course of their shift. It stars Noah Wyle as Dr Robby, who most famously played John Carter in the NBC medical drama series, ER. So if you’re thinking that this sounds a hell of a lot like ER, well, you’d be right. Especially with Wyle back in the leading role.

I personally binged The Pitt just a couple weeks ago. While it did take me a little while to warm up to it, once it got its hooks in, I was all the way invested. The way the show melds its medical and personal drama is tense and brilliant, especially as things ramp up in the later episodes. The show left a couple of loose ends in terms of character arcs, though I’d say Season 1 was able to wrap things up nicely overall. Still, it’d be nice to see how things pick back up in Season 2. It’ll definitely be a great one to keep me occupied as I wait for The Last of Us and The White Lotus to come back around.

The Pitt is now available for streaming on HBO Max. The Pitt Season 2 will premiere in January 2026.
