Rare is the show that gets a one-year turnaround time between seasons, and rarer it is to get a short teaser trailer for it a mere four months after the last episode just aired. But that’s how The Pitt is doing it over on HBO Max, and I am here for it. You can check out the new teaser trailer for The Pitt Season 2 down below:
As mentioned before, The Pitt Season 2 will feature 15 episodes, all centered around a single shift in the ER with every episode covering one hour of that shift. This time, the show will set during the 4th of July weekend, so I’m sure we can expect to see all sorts of gnarly, fireworks-related injuries.
The teaser also offered us a look at the returning cast members including Noah Wyle’s Dr. Robby, Dana, as well as several of the student doctors like Santos and Whittaker. And of course, joining the fray are some new faces whom I assume are fresh med students coming to see what it’s like to work in the ER. Notably, we also caught a glimpse of Langdon, who was unceremoniously dismissed towards the end of Season 1. We already know that Langdon was forced into rehab in-between the events of Seasons 1 and 2, so his appearance here marks the end of his rehab period and he’ll likely have to repeat a year of his residency.
The teaser trailer is way too short, but I expect we’ll get a longer trailer as we get closer to the show’s premiere date. The showrunners have previously stated that Season 2 will touch on current affairs, including Donald Trump’s Big, Beautiful Bill, which has slashed Medicaid funding yet again. The show will explore the potential ramifications of these policies in an effort to stay as grounded as possible.
The Pitt Season 2 will be available for streaming on HBO Max in January 2026.
