It’s been two years in the making but we don’t have too much longer to wait for the series finale of The Boys. Prime has just dropped a new teaser trailer for The Boys Season 5, giving us a taste of what’s to come.
You can check out the trailer for yourself down below:
The Boys Season 5 will pick up directly from where the last season left off. Victoria is dead, Butcher has fused with his weird V parasite and now has tentacle powers, and the rest of the Boys were split up and captured by Vought, with the exception of Starlight. The teaser shows the whole gang getting back together again though, as Butcher asks them to go after Vought and Homelander one last time.
We also get a glimpse of the bad guys, including the return of Homelander, Sage, Soldier Boy, and The Deep, along with other characters whose fates were left ambiguous, like Ashley, who had seemingly given herself powers at the end of Season 4 too. More excitingly, however, the teaser also featured a shot of Jared Padalecki, who played Sam Winchester in Supernatural. Aside from Padalecki, Jensen Ackles will also be joined by fellow Supernatural alum Misha Collins this season. We don’t know what kind of roles the Supernatural boys will take on, just that they’ll be fairly substantial and go beyond just cameos.
It’s worth pointing out that Gen V got its Season 2 release just a few months ago, serving as a bridge between The Boys Seasons 4 and 5. While I’m sure you could probably just jump into Season 5 without touching Gen V at all, there may be more than a few things that end up flying over your head if you do that.
The Boys Season 5 will be available for streaming on Prime Video on April 8, 2026.
