The Boys Season 5 Has Officially Wrapped Filming

It’s just dawned on me that we’re about to see the conclusion to one of the best and most compelling TV shows in recent years. Actor Isabella Crovetti took to Instagram this past weekend to post some photos of The Boys Season 5’s wrap party, confirming that filming on the show’s final season has indeed concluded.

Isabella Crovetti’s brother is Cameron Crovetti, who plays Ryan in The Boys. The photos on Crovetti’s Instagram stories don’t show off too much aside from a look at the food and drinks, which include plenty of fruits and cupcakes, and a round of Jenga.

While filming has wrapped, we’re probably still a ways off from the release of Season 5. Given the show’s insane CGI and visual effects, I’d expect post-production to take quite a while, and it’s likely that we’ll only see The Boys Season 5 in the first half of 2026, with a nice two-year gap between Seasons 4 and 5.

The Boys is based off of the comic book series of the same name by Garth Ennis, though the show deviated quite a bit from the source material even from the very first season. Still, the changes were well-received and some fans even lauded it for making changes that improved upon the original story and characters.

The cast includes Karl Urban as Butcher, Jack Quaid as Hughies, Antony Starr as Homelander, Karen Fukuhara as Kimiko, Erin Moriarty as Annie, and Chace Crawford as The Deep. Season 4 ended on a major cliffhanger and a huge turning point for the series as Butcher turned against the Boys to go after Homelander. This comes on the back of him getting taken over by his Temp-V cancer cells and essentially losing Ryan to the dark side after killing Mallory.

The Boys Season 5 is set to be the conclusion for the show, and it also sees the return of Jensen Ackles as Soldier Boy. Interestingly, Supernatural fans have a lot to be excited about with Season 5 as well. The Boys showrunner Eric Kripke, who also created Supernatural, confirmed that Jared Padalecki and Misha Collins would shoot a scene alongside fellow Supernatural alum Jensen Ackles.

The Boys is now available for streaming on Prime.
