Resident Evil Showcase Set for Jan. 15, With More Resident Evil Requiem Info to Come

With Resident Evil Requiem just around the corner, Capcom has wasted no time in drumming up hype for the game and teasing fans with more new information. Capcom has just announced that a Resident Evil showcase will be held on Jan. 15, at 5 p.m. ET, or 2 p.m. PT.

They’ve even included a short teaser trailer for the occasion, which you can check out down below:

The trailer itself doesn’t tell us much, save for the fact that there will be even more information about Resident Evil Requiem. To date, there’s already plenty we’ve learned about Requiem. We know that it’ll have a dual protagonist setup with the iconic fan-favorite Leon S. Kennedy, and newcomer Grace Ashcroft, who’s related to Alyssa Ashcroft from Resident Evil Outbreak. Grace is a reporter who’s been tasked with investigating a string of strange deaths in Wrenwood Hotel in Raccoon City, and soon finds herself caught up in a conspiracy while getting chased by a Nemesis/Mr X-like monster.

Fans had been theorizing for months that Leon would make an appearance in Requiem too, and were proved correct with a trailer reveal during The Game Awards 2025. With Resident Evil Requiem taking us back to Raccoon City, bringing Leon back, and featuring both first- and third-person perspectives, this is shaping up to be one of the most exciting mainline releases in recent years, not counting the excellent remakes.

I’d expect some sort of playable demo announcement during the showcase this week, and maybe even a teaser for other projects related to the IP? We’ll see.

Resident Evil Requiem is set to be released for PC and consoles on Feb. 27, 2026.
