Phantom Blade Zero Will Get a Physical Release in 2027; Check Out the Launch Trailer

Just a week out from its official release, S-GAME has dropped the launch trailer for Phantom Blade Zero, giving players another taste of what to expect in terms of combat, bosses, and story elements. You can check out the trailer for yourself down below:

Phantom Blade Zero was originally announced back in 2023, during a PlayStation showcase, and it instantly caught mainstream attention for just how fast and fluid its combat looked. It honestly looked too good to be true, if I’m being perfectly candid here. That being said, now that I’ve gotten a chance to check out the game for myself and early previews have started rushing out, I have a feeling this game’s probably going to land for a lot of people who have been eagerly waiting for this to come out.

The launch trailer sets up the story once again, with protagonist Soul being banished from his sect. After a devastating battle, he makes a deal with the Flesh Sculptor for a new heart, but the catch is that he only has 66 days to live. Within that timeframe, he’ll have to find a new heart that extends his lifespan, while also uncovering a conspiracy within the wulin. The game promises to deliver on fun, fast-paced combat with plenty of weapon types to experiment with, as well as strong level design that encourages exploration.

At the end of the trailer, S-GAME also casually announced that Phantom Blade Zero will be getting a physical release in early 2027. Considering that physical discs are about to get phased out for both PlayStation and Xbox, this may very well be one of the last physical game releases we see in the next year. It’s just a shame that physical disc fans will have to wait a few months for this one.

Phantom Blade Zero is set to be released for PS5 and PC on Oct. 28.
