Oshi no Ko Season 3 Release Date Announced With a Killer Trailer

You know how you typically have to wait two, three, or even, god forbid, four years for the next season of your favorite anime series to drop? Oshi no Ko says screw that. As one of the more popular new anime and manga IPs we’ve seen in recent years, Oshi no Ko‘s anime drops have been like clockwork. Season 3 will premiere in January 2026, and Crunchyroll has dropped a new trailer for the upcoming season as well.

You can check out the trailer for yourself down below:

Oshi no Ko Season 3 picks up directly where Season 2 left off. Ruby undergoes a rather drastic personality shift when she becomes just as obsessed with finding Ai’s killer as Aqua is, and the trailer gives us a glimpse of what she’ll get up to in Season 3. This includes taking a more active role in the variety show scene, and we also see her accepting advice from an unknown individual. In the meantime, we also get a look at the show’s supporting characters, including Kana and Akane, who serve as Aqua’s main love interests.

Season 3’s new opening theme song is Serenade by Natori, and it sounds like it’s going to be much more of a mainstream pop bop than Season 2’s song, Fatal by GENM, which felt a lot darker and grounded to stay in line with that season’s focus on the stage play. So far, Oshi no Ko hasn’t had any misses as far as their song choices go, though I’m still skeptical that anything will really top Season 1’s Idol.

Just like the first two seasons, Oshi no Ko Season 3 will likely comprise of around 12 episodes as well, covering a full arc.

Oshi no Ko is now available for streaming on Crunchyroll. Season 3 will air on Jan. 14, 2026.
