Early on in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, you’ll find yourself at a Festival with a few different NPCs trying to peddle different things to you for a Token. But where do you get them? Here’s how to get all Tokens in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Token locations
There are a total of three items you can buy for one Token each in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, and Gustave will start off with one in his possession. The other two Tokens can be obtained by interacting with different NPCs at the Festival, and I’ll go over each one down below.
Token 1: Answer Antoine’s questions
In the middle of the Festival area, you’ll find Antoine standing near a table. Speak with him, and he’ll ask you to answer three questions. Answer them correctly, and you’ll be rewarded with a Token. Here are the questions and answers:

Don’t worry if you pick the wrong answer for any of these questions. You can retry them again until you get it right, and you’ll still get the Token at the end.
Token 2: Beat Maelle in a duel
Next up, head to the dock to find Maelle staring at the continent. Speak with her, then accept her offer of a rematch.
Do note that this fight is a little more challenging than the tutorial fight you had with her at the beginning of the game. The key here is to master dodging and parrying. Maelle’s regular attack only consists of one strike, but her combo has three strikes, so you’ll need to dodge or parry her three times in succession.
Once you get the timing down, it’s just a matter of whittling down her health until you win the fight. After that, you’ll be rewarded with a Token.
All Token prizes
With all three Tokens in hand, speak with the NPCs at the tents to get your prizes. Here’s what you can get from each character:
- Tom: Weird Pictos
- Colette: Old Key
- Amandine: Bun haircut
The Weird Pictos and Old Key won’t come into play until later in the game, once you’ve reached the continent. The Bun haircut, on the other hand, can be used straightaway. Bring up the character menu, select Gustave, and change his appearance from the Wardrobe option.
