Fantasy Life i Complete Yuelia Guide

Yuelia is easily the strongest Strangeling/Buddy you can get in Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time. Unlocking her is going to take a bit of work on your end, though. But don’t worry, I’ll walk you through it. Here’s everything you need to know about Yuelia in Fantasy Life i.

How to Unlock Yuelia in Fantasy Life i

To get Yuelia in Fantasy Life i, you’ll first need to beat the main story. After that, simply collect 50 Golden Celestia’s Gifts and give them to Flutter during the post-game section. Upon doing so, Flutter will transform into Yuelia, and you’ll be able to add her to your party.

Sounds simple, right? Well, yeah, but getting those Golden Celestia’s Gifts is going to be a huge pain.

To get Golden Celestia’s Gifts, you’ll need to beat the main story and also get a 5-star island rating. If you’ve been diligent about doing everything in the game, you should hit that requirement pretty quickly and naturally. If not, here’s what you need to do:

  • Recruit more Strangelings and Buddies.
  • Build structures on your island.
  • Expand the island to unlock more explorable areas.

The crucial thing here is recruiting as many Strangelings and Buddies as you can. This will help to boost your island rating by quite a bit. With your recruits, you’ll then be able to clear out most of the debris on the island, opening up new areas for exploration. This gives you more space to decorate and build things, increasing your island rating even further.

When you think you’re close, interact with the Goddess Statue to check your island rating.

Once you reach a 5-star rating, Golden Celestia’s Gifts will start popping up all over your island, just like the regular blue ones. However, they’re time-gated, so you’ll need to check back daily in real time to collect the Golden Celestia’s Gifts. It’s worth noting that it is possible to speed this process up by changing your system clock. By changing the time to 24 hours later, you can pop back into the game and find that the flowers have respawned. This kinda goes against the spirit of the game though, so use it at your own discretion.

Once you’ve gotten 50 of them, hand them over to Flutter to get Yuelia.

Yuelia’s Skills and Abilities

Alright, now that we’ve gone over all the requirements, let’s talk about what Yuelia can bring to the table in Fantasy Life i. Listed below are all of her unique skills, which are unlocked as you increase your affinity with her:

AffinitySkill
Level 1+20 Magic Attack
Level 2Light (Special Skill): Attack the area ahead with a barrage of shooting stars.
Level 3+10% damage against Dark enemies.
Level 4+30 Attack
Level 5+10% item drop rate

What makes Yuelia so powerful is that level 5 skill that gives you increased item drop rates. Given how grindy the game can be, increasing your drop rates can drastically cut down the amount of time you need to spend farming resources or crafting.

Furthermore, Yuelia is also one of the best Magician Buddies in the game who can more than hold her own in combat. Combine that with her item drop rate skill, and you’ve got a mainstay in your party.

And that’s everything you need to know about Yuelia in Fantasy Life i.
