The Pokemon Presents July 2025 showcase gave us a ton of Pokemon-related announcements and updates on upcoming games. Just in case you missed it, here’s a full breakdown of everything that got announced and revealed during the presentation.
Pokemon Concierge Is Coming Back
Pokemon Concierge is an adorable animated series that’s now available on Netflix. The underrated, low-key series released to positive fan reception and it looks like we’ll be getting even more episodes this September. The trailer gave us a quick look at the beautiful animation, with more Pokemon doing cute Pokemon things.
I’ve been meaning to check out Concierge myself, and this seems like the perfect time to do so. The new episodes will be available on Sept. 4.
Pokemon Tales: The Misadventures of Sirfetch’d and Pichu
The animation/adaptation train rolls on, as the Pokemon Concierge trailer was immediately followed up with a trailer for yet another Pokemon adaptation.
This is an exciting one. Aardman Animation, the studio known for working on the iconic Wallace and Gromit series, will be producing a stop-motion Pokemon series called Pokemon Tales: The Misadventures of Sirfetch’d and Pichu. Now while I’m not a fan of Pichu personally (it’s basically inferior Pikachu, don’t @ me), I love Sirfetch’d. And I love Wallace and Gromit.
The series won’t be ready till 2027 so we’ve got a while to wait for this one, but still. Exciting stuff.
PokePark Kanto
Oh woe are the people who don’t live in Japan. The Pokemon Company announced a new Pokemon-themed attraction that will be opening in Japan’s Yomiuriland amusement park, called PokePark Kanto.
What’s special about this attraction is that it’s going to be permanent, and it’s supposed to give visitors a taste of what it’s like to engage in outdoor Pokemon activities. PokePark Kanto is divided into two areas: Sedge Town and Pokemon Forest. In the former, Pokemon and Trainers will get together and mingle. In the latter, you’ll be able to observe Pokemon interacting in their natural habitats.
PokePark Kanto will open in 2026, though tickets will go on sale later this year.
Mobile Game Stuff
Admittedly I’m not that hot on the mobile stuff that The Pokemon Company is doing so I’ll just do a quick rundown of these.
Pokemon Go Fest 2025: Max Finale
This will run from Aug. 23 to Aug. 24, and players will have the chance to encounter tons of Max Pokemon. Eternatus will also show up as an encounter.
Pokemon Masters EX
Carmine and Sinistcha will be appearing in Pokemon Masters EX from July 29 to Sept. 6.
Pokemon Cafe Remix
Lapras fans rejoice! Lapras will be getting a cool pirate captain outfit in Pokemon Cafe Remix. It’ll be available from July 23 to Aug. 21. In addition to that, players will also be able to obtain new pirate/sea-themed decorations. Alolan Meowth, Totodile, and Minccino will also be getting special themed outfits.
Pokemon Sleep
Now Pokemon Sleep actually had me hooked for a good while back when it first launched. Ironically, my partner said the game worsened her sleeping patterns because she felt pressured to wake up a little earlier to do all her dailies. But hey, that’s mobile games for you.
Anyway, the new Amber Canyon area will be coming to Pokemon Sleep in November. Raikou, Entei, and Suicune will also get added in September. Maybe I can convince my partner to start playing Pokemon Sleep with me again…?
Pokemon Unite
Finally, Latios and Latias will be coming to Pokemon Unite on Aug. 8. Big W for all who play.
Pokemon TCG: Mega Evolution
Oh yeah, the Pokemon Trading Card Game is still a thing. We got a quick trailer showing off the new Mega Evolution expansion and booster packs, which are releasing on Sept. 26. Big W for scalpers, I’m sure.
Pokemon Friends
During the Pokemon Presents showcase, we also got an announcement for yet another spin-off game. Pokemon Friends is a puzzle game with tons of mini puzzles to play. Puzzles include sliding blocks, route finding mini-games, and more. This really seems like it’s geared more towards kids than anything else. Y’know, the ones who need to be distracted by something on a screen while their parents do something productive.
Anyway, by solving puzzles, you can unlock digital plushies that can be used to decorate an in-game room. Pokemon Friends is available now on Switch and mobile devices.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Updates
Remember Pokemon Scarlet and Violet? The disappointing mainline games that ran like trash on the Switch but are apparently good now on the Switch 2? Here’s an update. We’re getting a new Tera Raid on July 23. The developers also wanted to remind you that these games have better framerate and resolution on the Switch 2.
Pokemon Champions
Pokemon Champions was announced a while back, but here’s another look at the game. This is a PvP-focused title that lets players battle each other in an arena. The exciting thing about this is that you can link it to Pokemon Home and summon your Pokemon Partners that you’ve collected over time as well.
Unfortunately we still don’t have a release date for Pokemon Champions, but it’s due out for Switch and mobile devices in 2026.
Pokemon Legends: Z-A
Finally, the Pokemon Presents showcase closed out with an extended look at Pokemon Legends: Z-A. We got a fresh look at Lumiose City and some story elements including returning characters, new ones, and villains. There’s also going to be a ton of customization. We already knew that we’d get trainer customization, but the trailer gave us a look at some seriously cute-looking Furfrou appearance options.
