All Games & Trailers From the February 2026 Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase

Nintendo Directs are always a good time, even if the Direct is just focused on third-party software. Honestly, with how powerful the Switch 2 is, these Partner Showcases feel way more exciting to me as someone who loves playing games on the go and doesn’t have a Steam Deck. After getting blown away by how good Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is on the Switch 2, I’m genuinely excited to see what other current-gen games get ported to Nintendo’s latest console.

So without further ado, here’s every game and trailer you might’ve missed from the February 2026 Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase.

Orbitals (Summer 2026)

This is a pretty exciting one. Orbitals is a new co-op game from Kepler Interactive and Devolver Digital, and we caught our first glimpse of the game during last year’s big Nintendo Direct. It sports a cool 90s anime art style, has split-screen co-op, and a banger soundtrack.

Paranormasight: The Mermaid’s Curse (Feb. 19)

I definitely wasn’t expecting to see Paranormasight during this Nintendo Direct, but I’ll take it. Paranormasight: The Mermaid’s Curse is a follow-up to The Seven Mysteries of Honjo, which I played back in 2024 and absolutely loved. It’s a horror visual novel, but complete with branching timelines and a flowchart to tie everything together, Zero Escape style.

The Mermaid’s Curse looks to tell a completely different story with a whole new cast of characters, but from what we’ve seen of the trailer so far, this game will also focus on Japanese folkloric elements with a horror twist.

Captain Tsubasa 2: World Fighters (2026)

Admittedly I’m not the most familiar with the Captain Tsubasa franchise, but hey, it’s anime soccer. It looks pretty good, it has over 100 playable characters, and you get to pull off all sorts of crazy moves on the field.

Tokyo Scramble (Feb. 11)

This was a bit of a surprise. Tokyo Scramble is a Switch 2 exclusive game about surviving dinosaurs who have invaded Tokyo. You’ll need to evade the dinos while solving environmental puzzles to move forward.

Valheim (2026)

I absolutely love Valheim, and it wouldn’t be a stretch to say that this was probably the most exciting announcement for me. Valheim came out on Steam years ago and I fell in love almost instantly. Featuring a gorgeous voxel aesthetic and one of the most enjoyable and in-depth building systems I’ve ever seen in a survival game, Valheim seems like it’d be a perfect fit for the Switch, and now it’s finally happening.

I was totally hoping for them to announce that it’d be out today, but I guess I’ll just have to make do with a vague 2026 release window.

Hollow Knight: Switch 2 Edition

Ah yes, Hollow Knight. I wish I could love this game but I just don’t. Anyway, the original Hollow Knight is getting a free Switch 2 upgrade today.

The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales (June 18)

The Adventures of Elliot is Square Enix’s new HD-2D style action RPG that’s reminiscent of games like old-school 2D Zelda. I played the demo and I don’t think this is really for me, but it’s definitely looking pretty good so far.

Super Bomberman Collection

The Super Bomberman Collection is available for purchase today, bringing that old-school co-op/PvP nostalgia to the Switch 2.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth (June 3)

Honestly, I wasn’t such a big fan of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth when I first played it on PS5. I liked it just fine, though I did think that the mini-games were pretty annoying. Most of them are optional, but there are just enough mandatory ones for the story that I felt kinda turned off and burnt out around the halfway mark.

Still, after being thoroughly impressed by the Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade Switch 2 port, I find myself curious about the Rebirth port and just how well it’s going to run on Nintendo’s hardware. After all, this is a much bigger and more ambitious open-world RPG, with pretty graphics to boot. If it’s as good a port as Remake, I might be persuaded to double dip and finally see this one through on the go.

Pragmata (April 24)

Pragmata is the new oddball action game from Capcom, and given the early reports of how well-optimized Resident Evil Requiem is for the Switch 2, I’m interested to see how this one fares as well. There’s a demo out today if you want to check it out too.

Turok: Origins (Fall 2026)

Turok: Origins is a third-person shooter game where you must fight and gun down dinosaurs, either solo or with friends. With Tokyo Scramble on the way too, I guess dinosaurs are back in vogue.

Kyoto Xanadu (Summer 2026)

Kyoto Xanadu is a new RPG from Nihon Falcom, and it’s a successor to 2015’s Tokyo Xanadu. A mysterious labyrinth known as Xanadu lies beneath a high school, and players take control of a student who explores the labyrinth while bonding with other characters during the daily life sections in Kyoto.

Digimon Story: Time Stranger (July 10)

I’ve heard plenty of good things about Digimon Story: Time Stranger since its release last year. I’ve just been waiting for a Switch 2 port, and it’s finally happening. Admittedly I’ve never been a fan of Digimon, but with everyone constantly telling me that the Digimon Story games are what fans have been hoping the Pokemon games would become, I’ve gotta give it a shot at least.

Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok (July 9)

Surprisingly, I really enjoyed my time with Granblue Fantasy: Relink when it first launched. It was like Monster Hunter, but with more of a defined story, more chill, and less complexity, which I greatly appreciated. I’ve also always been a fan of the artwork, so it’s very exciting to hear that it’s getting a re-release with Endless Ragnarok, and on the Switch 2, no less.

Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection (March 13)

Speaking of Monster Hunter, Capcom also showed off Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection for the Switch 2. Unlike the mainline series, the Monster Hunter Stories spinoffs are more traditional RPGs with proper stories and characters, and a different style of combat system.

Arcade Archives 2/Console Archives

For fans looking for another hit of nostalgia, Arcade Archives 2 and Console Archives were shown off during the Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase.

Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition (Feb. 24)

It’s been a while since we’ve heard from Bethesda, but they showed up in a big way during this Direct as well. The first announcement was for Fallout 4, which is getting an Anniversary Edition release on Switch 2 this month. Not gonna lie, the game looks kinda rough graphically, but it’s exciting to see the Switch 2 get its first mainline Fallout game.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle (May 12)

This is one that I’m interested in seeing on the Switch 2. Indiana Jones and the Great Circle was a fairly demanding game on PC that required ray-tracing, so the fact that it’s coming to the Switch 2 is great news for folks who want a more accessible way to play it.

Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered (2026)

I was kinda expecting Bethesda to announce a Starfield Switch 2 port, but I’m way happier with this announcement. Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered will be coming to the Switch 2 this year. It was polished and prettied up for consoles and PC last year, and considering that Skyrim was one of my favorite games to play on the OG Switch, I think I’ll be picking this one up again too.
