Life Is Strange: Reunion Sees the Return of Max and Chloe

Looks like the fans were right! Chloe Price will indeed be returning to the Life Is Strange series in the latest entry from Deck Nine and Square Enix. Titled Life Is Strange: Reunion, players will be able to take control of both Max Caulfield and Chloe Price, the dual protagonists from the first game.

You can check out the reveal trailer for yourself down below:

The game starts with Max at Caledon University as a photography teacher. When the school is set ablaze, she jumps back to three days ago through a selfie, and she must figure out how to stop the disaster. Then, enter Chloe Price, who shows up to Caledon University, kicking off the story of Life Is Strange: Reunion. This, apparently, is a direct follow-up to the conclusion of Double Exposure. I didn’t play that one but I’ve heard about some alternate timeline shenanigans, which suggest that Chloe isn’t actually supposed to be here.

Per the press the release from Square Enix:

“For the very first time in the series, players can play as both Max and Chloe in the same game, alternating between their different perspectives as the story unfolds.

Players will use Max’s Rewind power to undo and redo decisions, change the course of conversations and manipulate the environment to solve four-dimensional puzzles, and use Chloe’s Backtalk ability, quick wits, and take-no-prisoners attitude to sway key suspects – and go where Max can’t.

This game builds on all the character-led, grounded storytelling for which the LIFE IS STRANGE series is known, with meaningful choices that affect the outcome of a dramatic and surprising narrative – all culminating in an epic climax that serves as a finale to the Max and Chloe saga.”

Max will be voiced by her original voice actor Hannah Telle, while Chloe will be voiced by Rhianna DeVries. DeVries voiced Chloe in Before the Storm, but her original voice actor was actually Ashly Burch.

Life Is Strange: Reunion will release for PC and consoles on March 26.
