Pokopia Complete Hoppip Event Guide

The Hoppip event is Pokopia‘s first in-game event, allowing players to encounter new Pokemon and pick up new furniture items. I’ve put together a complete Hoppip event guide for Pokopia to help you get all of your goodies.

Pokopia Hoppip Event Start and End Dates

The Hoppip event will run from March 10, 5 a.m. local time, to March 25, at 4:59 a.m. local time. This means you’ll have just over two weeks to enjoy the event, which should be plenty of time for you to get everything you need.

How to Start the Hoppip Event

During the event period, boot up Pokopia, and you’ll be informed that a new Pokemon is the talk of the town. Head over to the Pokemon Center and you’ll meet Hoppip.

Do note that you can encounter Hoppip in any town, as long as the Pokemon Center has been rebuilt. If you’ve not built your first Pokemon Center yet, make that your first priority. Either way, once you talk to Hoppip, it’ll tell you that it’s looking for Cotton Spores, the event currency you’ll need to purchase all of the new items.

How to Get Cotton Spores

Cotton Spores are really easy to get in Pokopia, though you’ll probably be time-gated as they can only be obtained from Dream Islands. To visit a Dream Island, you’ll need two things: Drifloon, and a Pokemon Doll.

When you have a Pokemon Doll in your inventory, speak with Drifloon and say that you want to visit a Dream Island, and it’ll take you there. It doesn’t matter what type of Dream Island you visit; all of them will have Cotton Spores available for you to pick up as long as the event is running.

On a Dream Island, keep an eye out for the white flowery-looking things on the ground. Those are the Cotton Spores you’re looking for. Be sure to check out the entire Dream Island and grab all the Cotton Spores you can before talking to Drifloon again to head back home.

All New Furniture and Items in the Hoppip Event

Head to the Pokemon Center and you’ll find that Hoppip will be running the store during the event period. Here, you can exchange your Cotton Spores for new event-exclusive items. Here’s a list of all the items you can get, and how much they cost:

ItemCost
Dandy flower seedsCotton Spores x5
Flowery table settingCotton Spores x10
Flower tableCotton Spores x10
Flower cushionCotton Spores x10
Picnic blanketCotton Spores x15
Hoppip water bottleCotton Spores x5
Lunch boxCotton Spores x5
Juice trioCotton Spores x5
Flower backpackCotton Spores x5
Flower garlandsCotton Spores x5

As you can see, most of the good stuff costs quite a bit. And since you can only visit one Dream Island per day, it might take a bit of time before you’re able to clear out the shop. In my experience, I was able to get around 15 Cotton Spores per island visit, so it’ll take maybe about a week to grab everything on offer.

How to Get All Event Pokemon and Habitats

The furniture and new items aren’t just decorative; they can also be used to create new habitats to befriend event-exclusive Pokemon like Jumpluff and Skiploom.

Here are all of the new habitats, the Pokemon they spawn, and the items required:

HabitatItems RequiredPokemon

And that’s everything you need to know about the Hoppip event in Pokopia.
