It’s not a Metal Gear game if you aren’t constantly being judged based on your play style and performance. At the end of each playthrough, you’ll be assigned a rank based on how you’ve done in the game. To help you out, here’s a complete ranks guide for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater Ranks Explained

As you might’ve already guessed, ranks in Snake Eater are like a final score for how you performed in your playthrough. The rank you get usually depends on the following:

  • Number of Alerts
  • Number of kills
  • Number of deaths
  • Number of saves
  • Total Life lost
  • Difficulty

There are also a handful of ranks that can only be obtained by meeting special conditions. I’ll go over all of those below, along with all the ranks you can get for each of the difficulty settings.

From my experience, most players will likely get Jaguar on their first playthrough, assuming you’re not deliberately trying to go for a non-lethal playthrough. Getting spotted and killing enemies is inevitable, and assuming you’re of average skill level, Jaguar is probably where you’ll land most of the time.
